Meet Mrs. Cushway!
My name is Catherine Cushway. I teach 6th grade Science and 6-8th Environmental Science. I am a Michigan native, graduating across the river from Allendale High School, afterwards graduating from Grand Valley State University with a degree in teaching secondary Biology and English. My passions in life include family and the great outdoors. My husband and I spend a majority of our time landscaping, gardening, hiking, and exploring our great state. We also enjoy fishing and hunting. When the weather isn't as nice we enjoy making maple syrup in our woods, cooking, and reading.
I am looking forward to an incredible year teaching young minds not just science, but also useful skills that will help them discover the world around them. Together we will learn how to celebrate and learn from mistakes, enjoy each other's creative ideas, and most of all, learn to love learning!
